Hi Jenn. Yes, you have to install iTunes on your computer and sync the Shuffle up with your iTunes program. Then you should be able to transfer new music onto the device and overwrite what's already on there. Good luck. -Brandon

I've bought a shuffle off of someone and can't figure it out! It's got a load of music on it, how do I delete it all?

Do I have to use itunes to work it - I've already got a different music source on my pc.

Also, it's plugged into the pc but the orange light just blinks and blinks ....

Any help would be sooooooo appreciated, thanks!

I got a used ipod from a friend and she didn't have the instruction manual. She briefly showed me how to use it but I don't really get it. I've scoured the Apple website looking for the download without success. Can you tell me where on the Apple site i can find this download?
Thanks

I created an itunes account and set my preferences to store my music on an external hard drive. I then started inputting all my CDs into my account. Subsequently I had to reinstall the whole operating system for my computer including my itunes account though still using the account set up previously. Before when opening itunes and plugging in the external hard drive, all the CD albums and artwork appeared in the itunes library but, following the reinstallation of the operating system, the itunes library appeared to be empty. I have tried transferring the music on the external drive by playing the first song on each album. This has had the effect of showing the album in itunes and some, though not all, album artworks but it only recognises the one song I played, not the full album. If I had to play all songs for them to be recognised it would take days and I think it would be easier to re-input the CDs. Is there a way to get itunes to recognise the music stored on the external drive as it used to do?

I downloaded hundreds of "burned" CDs onto itunes, however most of them came up as Track 1, 2,3,4...etc. After I spent 12 hours looking up each song and labeling it, I synchornized it on my IPOD. However after I unplugged it, I lost all of the titles and artists I just downloaded. How do I get them back, and can I plug my IPOD back in without having it synchornize back to Track 1,2,3...
